My Story – Overcoming Low Self-Esteem and Confidence

As a result of overcoming low self-esteem and self-confidence, and low self-worth it has become my passion to help other women.

Every opportunity that I get is to encourage, inspire, and help women come up and STEP out of self-pity, living in the shadow of others, and people pleasing.

We are embracing our strengths, talents and gifts.

Replacing negative thoughts and words with daily affirmations.

Focusing on what we like and love about ourselves.

Accept that we are #perfectlyimperfect.

As a guest speaker on ‘The Beautiful Foundation’ hosted by HERstory, I share my personal journey of how I overcame low self-esteem.

Please watch this amazing video as I share my personal journey!

There’s More To You – Another Layer

Branches with green leaves with the suns rays shining through. Showing only the dominant colour but not what's hidden beneath

There’s more to you, another layer that has been hidden. Take the leaf it is an amazing living thing. Really! There’s more to the leaf that meets the natural eye. The leaf for those who don’t know, consists of a pigmentation called ‘chlorophyll’ a green substance that provides nutrients to the leaf by absorbing the sun’s rays. The leaf stays green for the most part of spring and summer.

Showing all the brilliant colours of leaves in the fall season. Red, yellow, orange and purple. The hidden colours that needs to be unlayered.

However, something magical happens that! A transformation, an unveiling of some sorts, of something that was always there, hidden beneath the overpowering green pigment! Similarly, there are hidden attributes inside each and every one of us. For the leaf, its, yellow, orange, red, and purple are the brilliant colours that appear during the fall and like these leaves, there’s more to you. https://allthatsinteresting.com/why-leaves-change-color

It’s amazing, we have depth! We all have layers that are just waiting to break out, to shine! So why wait for a “special” time? Why not be true to yourself and allow those hidden gems to come out.

Uniqueness – The Fingerprints of Our Identity

There’s noooobody like you! Yes, you!

The Fingerprint

Your identity is as unique as your fingerprint. No two fingerprints are the same, just like the fingerprint on your baby finger is different from that on your index finger. You are the only you in the world, there is, no one like you! Let me repeat that.  There is, no one, like you! Finding your true purpose in the earth starts with knowing who you are, your fingerprint.

Our uniqueness

Our fingerprint is truly unique to ourselves, there is no one person that is identical that is to say,  in our personality, character, traits, talents, and skills.  Currently, there are 7.7 billion people in the world and of the 7.7 billion people there is only one you.  No competition there!

In discovering our true purpose, we must understand our fingerprint.  We’re created in the earth for a specific purpose; born to solve a problem, born as the answer, born to help make a better quality of life for someone else.

We possess gifts and talents unique to us. So is our identity, the fingerprint shaped by our personality and the character traits we portray.  For example, my call to teach, helps others acquire knowledge, competences or values, by imparting information that others may learn.  My fingerprint imparts in a way that is easily understood, not over the head stuff.

Go, the world awaits

No matter how many teachers are out there, there is none like me! And that’s the truth! I’m unique as you are unique.  For that very reason, I embrace who I am, flaws and all and because I can be transparent no one can share or teach like Mitzie. Because my fingerprint is unique.  Therefore, I leave a stamp, a unique fingerprint that is like no other.  Here’s an email from one of my past students:

“I just wish to reiterate the wonderful experience I had with Professor Doyley who demonstrated excellent teaching skills….She makes the class very interacted, leading to the absence of boredom and gives to inclusion resulting in increased participation….always recapping what was taught at the previous class to ensure everyone had a clear understanding of the material.” Karen

If you’ve read my blog post 5 Tips on Embracing The True You, you would have the basics steps on identifying the true you.  Once we’ve come to the understanding that we all have something, a hidden treasure, a solution to helping others in a way unique to us, we will be well on our way to living and leading a fulfilled life!

Let’s go and fingerprint the world! Who’s with me?
